Finca La Lampara White Wine Natural Nanolot
A unique single origin hailing from Finca La Lampara in Jinotega, Nicaragua, this coffee will amaze you with its sheer fruitiness and overall complexity. The carefully selected red Catuai are treated using a special method known as White Wine Natural. Unlike other natural treatment processes where coffee cherries are typically picked in their ripest state, the coffee cherries here are left to over-ripen before harvest, resulting in a higher sugar concentration and a slightly fermented flavour.
This coffee comes to us by way of our partner Gold Mountain Coffee Growers, a social enterprise which works with Nicaraguan coffee farmers on a variety of development projects beyond coffee. On the nose, expect juicy notes of berries, dates and rum and in the mouth, we taste the qualities of red apple, papaya and panela too.
