Alilu Estate is a third generation family farm in the forested hills of Coorg. Sitting at 1000 masl, the estate grows Arabica and Robusta among diverse forest crops, supported by natural springs and rich soil. Local villagers and neighbouring forest communities work year round to maintain and harvest the farm.
This lot features S795 and Selection 6, handpicked in several rounds after the monsoon season. Processing is fully carried out on the estate. Cherries are floated, pulped and washed, with the removed pulp returned to the farm as compost. The parchment is shade dried on terracotta beds and finished on concrete courtyards for a clean and stable cup.
The farm follows Rainforest Alliance standards and undergoes regular environmental audits. Wastewater is treated and recycled, organic matter is composted, and abundant tree cover helps maintain healthy soil.
To reduce waste, orders will be packed using our previously used coffee bags as part of our upcycling initiative.
